Robin Singh (cricketer)

Robin Singh (born Robindra Singh, 14 September 1963) is a former International cricketer who played as an all-rounder first for Trinidad and Tobago and then for India . He is one of the few cricketers in the world to have represented two countries internationally. He is currently retired and coach of Indian Premier League franchise the Mumbai Indians since 2010 and Barbados in the Caribbean Premier League from the inaugural year. He also coached the Deccan Chargers in the Ipls inaugural Year.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Robin Singh )〕 He was known in his playing days for his agility and fitness. his brilliant running between the wickets and his ability to hit sixes combined with superb fielding skills which made him an integral part of the Indian team for almost 5 years. Robin Singh moved to India in 1984 and studied at the madras university during which he played club level
And college level cricket.
After making the state team he played only for one state Tamil Nadu till his retirement from all forms of cricket.
In 1988 Tamil Nadu won the prestigious Ranji trophy title after a gap of 33 years. Robin not only played a vital
Part in the entire tournament but also walked away with the man of the match trophy in the Finals.
He later captained the state and South Zone teams with success.
He surrendered his Trinidad passport to be a naturalised Indian so he could represent India.
